HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP
Part 1 of 3 for "Food, Not Food" PSA short series. This piece (abridged for the web) juxtaposes the natural image of corn with the unnatural oozing of HFCS which is used in 'food' products all over the world. It's no worse for you than sugar, but you can't really call it corn anymore.
Part 2 of 3 for "Food, Not Food" PSA short series. This piece (abridged for the web) emphasizes the way color bleeds off of food and candy. The idea that the sweetness and the taste comes from the color itself is something that we've sort of been trained to understand even though it's obviously not the case (the taste comes from HFCS!).
Part 3 of 3 for "Food, Not Food" PSA short series. Admittedly the most abstract of the three, this piece (abridged for the web) portrays a world wherein sugar is abducted or eaten by colorful soda. This parallels the way similar to the way sugary sodas eat away at the inside of your body.
